Audience Survey- Part 1
Here is the audience survey I made. I am planning on handing out 20 of these questionnaires to 30-50 year old teachers at my school to see what they think about my film, and to see if I am selling my film correctly- in the right way and to the right target audience.

You could find out where your target audience watch short films?
ReplyDeleteYou could ask if this idea reminds them of any films they have seen and if so what?
You could ask what tone they think it should have?
Why don't you put the survey online say on the school intranet or ask Clifford to put a link to it on the school homepage so that you get electronic feedback? You could then encourage your target audience to look on your blog and follow the progress of your film-making culminating in attending the screening in July.
Good work!

It is the kind of film that Birds Eye View might screen. Have a look at their website.
ReplyDeleteI think its genre is drama documentary.

Is it worth asking 16-25 and 26 - 35 year olds if they would be interested in seeing an internet drama doc with a 45 year old subject? You could do dramatic reconstructions with a 24 year old to appeal to a younger target audience? I like your idea of asking men as well - ask an equal number. The results may surprise you! And don't just limit the research to teachers - you have access to friends, parents, adults outside school too.

Do some internet dating research. Who does use dating online? What age and sex are they mostly? Is it worth putting this question into your survey and people can remain anonymous? How often do you use internet dating services? Never Once Daily Once a week Fortnightly Once a month Once a year. And does your target audience have to be single/use dating services to want to watch this film?
