2009
By Nicholas Jasenovec and Charlyne Yi
'Charlyne Yi embarks on a quest across America to make a documentary about the one subject she doesn't fully understand: Love'
This film won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award in 2009 at the Sundance Film Festival and was a nominee for the Grand Dury Prize. Although it is a understated, low lying film, it has really inspired me in the planning and researching of my own short film.

The film is made in the style of a Documentary, however during the course of the film, unfolds into more of a story about Love. The whole idea of the film is clever. witty and highly entertaining. It's rare to find a film like this and this is why I really enjoyed it.
I'd say the target audience is mainly girls (however I am sure many boys would enjoy it) aged between 16-35. There are many different aspects of the film- it's a comedy, a love story, a documentary all in one (and some famous people appear in it) and it is this quality which will broaden the film's audience.

I think this is a brilliant inspiration for your film. Imagine if during the process of filming your internet dater protagonist found true love!
